Revised Bunker Surcharge

NOTICE TO SHIPPERS

REVISED BUNKER SURCHARGE

AUSTRALIA TO / FROM NORTH & EAST ASIA

We have been advised by the carriers servicing the trade Australia to / from North and East Asia of a revised Bunker Surcharge. The Bunker Surcharge (BAF) is to be adjusted to US$700 per TEU and US$1400 per FEU with effect from 31st March 2012 to / from Japan / Korea / Hong Kong / China / Manila / Russia and Taiwan.

The revised Bunker Surcharge will apply to vessels based on actual Bill of Lading date for cargo “Shipped on Board” on or after the above date covering direct service to / from Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane.

For cargo shipped to / from Adelaide and transhipped via Singapore or Port Kelang the revised rates will apply to the actual Bill of Lading date for cargo “Shipped on Board” on or after the above date.

The policy of SOS being when such increases occur that they are passed on to our clients at cost. Please take note for all future costings and budgeting purposes.
