Notice to the Trade
Rate adjustment for export shipments from Taiwan to Australia
We have been advised by carriers servicing the trade ex Taiwan to Australia of a Rate Adjustment. Effective 15th April, 2012. a rate restoration programme will be implemented to all customers in Taiwan.
From 15th April, 2012, all outward shipments originated from Taiwan to ports and points in Australia will levy an increase of US$300/TEU and US$600/FEU for both dry and refrigerated cargo respectively. This increase will apply in full on top of existing rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment.
The policy of SOS being when such increases occur that they are passed on to our clients at cost. Please take note for all future costings and budgeting purposes.
