More MUA Strikes

A series of rolling industrial actions have been authorised, via a protected action ballot, for MUA members who are employees of the Skilled Group at Fisherman Island, Brisbane, and Port Botany, Sydney.

A series of industrial measures have been authorised in support of pursuing an enterprise agreement.

These are:

  • An unlimited number of bans on the beginning of work shifts with an unlimited number of bans on the commencement of work shifts with a nominal start time specified in clause 19.3 of the Skilled Port Botany (PB) and Fisherman Islands (FIT)Patrick Site Maintenance Certified Agreement 2009-2010 for an indefinite period;
  • An unlimited number of bans on the performance of work shift extensions for an indefinite period;
  • An unlimited number of stoppages of work of 8, 12 and 24 hours duration.

The Skilled Group is an Australasian provider of skilled and semi-skilled staff.
