GRI From North Asia

NOTICE TO CLIENTS

General Rate Increase (GRI) from North Asia (China, Hong Kong and Macau origin ports into Australia main Ports)

(Dry cargo only)

We have been advised by the carriers servicing the trade ex North Asia are looking at implementation of a General Rate Increase (GRI). The GRI will be implemented for all cargo from China and Hong Kong origin ports into Australia as per below yet to be confirmed by all carriers concerned.

  • All China & Hong Kong Origins except Qingdao into Australian main ports:
  • GRI to be implemented USD 300/20 and USD 600/40 from 22nd March 2012
  • Qingdao Port Only:
  • GRI to be implemented USD 300/20 and USD 600/40 from 15th March 2012 from Qingdao to Sydney & Melbourne (direct calls only).
  • GRI to be implemented USD 100/20 and USD 200/40 from 22nd March 2012 from Qingdao to Brisbane, Adelaide and Fremantle (via relay Hong Kong / Singapore).

The rate restoration will be applicable for customer specific and common tariff rates.

The policy of SOS being when such increases occur that they are passed on to our clients at cost. Please take note for all future costings and budgeting purposes.
