General Rate Increase

South East Asia and Sub-continent to Australia

We have been advised by carriers servicing the trade ex South East Asia and Sub-contintent an implementation of a General Rate Increase (GRI). Effective 1st April a GRI will be implemented for all shipments of cargo from South EastAsia and Indian Sub-continent origin into Australia

The ocean freight rate will be increased by:

• 20’ containers - USD200
• 40’ containers - USD400

The rate restoration will be applicable for customer specific and common tariff rates.

The policy of SOS being when such increases occur that they are passed on to our clients at cost. Please take note for all future costings and budgeting purposes.
