Containers Lost Overboard on the YM Efficiency - Update 3 (22/06/2018)

To Dear Valued Customers,

Further to our recent communication in regards to the Containers Lost Overboard on the YM Efficiency. Please be advised that expected discharge of all damage containers in Sydney were expected to be completed yesterday, Thursday 21/6.

We have been officially advised that SOS had no containers lost overboard which is a great relief to all concerned.

Loading and discharging of non-damage containers will continue  today Friday 22/06/18. DP World Terminal will do external inspections of the damaged containers to determine their condition.

Once all containers have been surveyed, DP World will advise which units have minor damage and major damage and will advise those effected accordingly.

At this stage SOS clients have “NO” damaged units recorded.

The YM Efficiency is expected to sail Sydney tomorrow, Saturday 23/06 at 0600hrs. She is expected to berth Melbourne Monday 25/06 at 0600hrs and depart Tuesday 26/06 at 1400hrs.

Melbourne laden receivals will start 1400/21st and cut-off 1400/23rd.

The Brisbane schedule is currently being assessed and will be updated shortly.

Once again it is imperative for all those who have containers shipped onboard the YM EFFICIENCY V111S to check that your Marine Insurance is up to date and advise your Insurance Company of the above situation if you have a shipment on board the vessel.

We will keep you informed of developments as they are passed to SOS and we regret the inconvenience that this incident may have caused.
