Containers Lost Overboard on the YM Efficiency - Update 2 (08/06/2018)
Further to our previous announcements, we have been advised that the YM Efficiency has berthed at 0936/06th June at DP world Sydney Terminal number #10 berth.
Authorities started their investigation as soon as vessel berthed and continue their investigation today on board the ship.
Discharging the damage 30 containers on board will be a delicate operation.
Work plan has been done with DP world. All 30 damaged containers which we are currently aware of will be discharged in Sydney.
All 30 containers must be cleared for Sydney, as soon they are discharged, containers will be taken to adjacent DP world Logistics park 2 for next step.
Cargo work is yet to start because of some formalities that have yet to be completed. Once damage containers have been discharged then the other import containers will be allowed to be discharged.
The Vessel departure time will be significantly delayed, the availability of import containers to be advised by DP World.
Once again and as previously advised we strongly recommend to check your Marine Insurance is up to date and advise your Insurance Company of the above situation if you have a shipment on board the YM EFFICIENCY V111.
