DP World Experiencing Delays (25/05/2018)

Please see below and update from DP World this morning regarding current delays being experienced through their terminal in Melbourne which is fairly self-explanatory:

Issue: Landside operations update 24/05
Short Description:

Attention all carriers,

Please be aware we are expecting another heavy day on the land side.
Please resist the urge to contact the terminal for additional slots or increases to stack runs and ensure your trucks are not arriving earlier than planned as this may add to the queue and cause additional delays.

DP World will be utilising additional resources during this period in attempt to keep the truck turn time as low as possible.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Duration of Delay: 0 days 3 hrs 0 min.

Expected Resolution: 24/05/2018 09:05

As per previous emails, this is having an adverse effect on our carriers delivery schedules with a number of trucks still transiting the terminal from our night shift and multiple containers still yet to be collected.

Our carriers have advised that they are already running behind schedule because of these delays. For those with alternative carrier arrangements you will need to take note of the above as the delays experienced are across the board with all service providers.

Please note, detention at the wharf may be applicable if your container is affected.

We apologies in advance for any inconvenience, but the above situation is out of any of our control.

The SOS Team operations@sosconsultants.com.au will closely monitor current vessel receival and availability dates and try to keep you updated accordingly.

In the interim should you require any additional information or clarification  please do not hesitate to email or give our office a call for further assistance.

We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to being of service in 2018.
